SA's top ranked player will use Tuks as his base before Nationals
Steve Coppinger will be based at Tuks the week before he takes on the top SA players at the SA Nationals tournament being held at the Wanderers Club in Johannesburg.
He will be travelling from the Citrine Super Series event in Port Elizabeth and arrive in Pretoria on Wednesday 21 July, where his training partners will be the TuksSquash Academy players. They will be doing their final preparation for the most prestigious title on the SA circuit before matches start on Monday 26 July 2010.
Steve and fellow pro player rodney Durbach initiated the R150000.00 Citrine Super Series Squash tournaments and Steve won the 2nd leg of the circuit in Durban - leaving with the R50000.00 prize money. He is hoping to repeat this at the PE event and then take home Nationals. A qualified Chemical Engineer, Steve fits well into the Tuks philosophy where Academics and Sport are managed side by side.
Welcome Steve and we look forward to a long relationship with you.
